From brief
to better part.
Every tooling challenge begins with a set of decisions. This is a conceptual guide to the conversations that connect design, manufacture and moulding—not a claim of a fixed certified production procedure.
The brief.
Define what the component must do, the environment it operates in, and any constraints on geometry, material or intended volume.
The design.
Use available CAD models, drawing information and design analysis to evolve an actionable concept.
The approach.
Explore rapid prototyping where appropriate, resolve functional questions, and plan the tooling route.
The tool.
Translate design requirements into precision-made tool components through CNC machining and wire-cutting.
The component.
Discuss suitable material, production requirements and machine fit before commencing manufacture.
No drawing?
No problem.
You do not need a finished production specification to ask the first question. A rough drawing, sample or written description can help frame a useful technical discussion.
